JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Associate Manager- Business Development at Plastics For Change located in Bengaluru, with flexibility for remote work. As a Associate Manager- Business Development, you will be responsible for developing and overseeing the verified ethical sourcing platform that connects waste collectors, MRFs, scarp shops, Recycler and global brands. This includes collaborating with various government agencies, stakeholders and cross-functional teams. Also responsible for implementing supply chain best practices and designing sourcing methodologies, executing end-to-end logistics and product processes, and expanding the network of ethical suppliers.

JOB TITLE: Associate Manager- Business Development

REPORTS TO: Director Marketplace

LOCATION: Guwahati

Duties & Key Responsibilities

  • Familiarizing with all products and services offered by the company.

  • Should have a good understanding of the businesses' products or services and be able to advise others about them.

  • Market Analysis - Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industries, and regions for material. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.

  • Client Acquisition - Develop and implement strategies to acquire new clients and business opportunities.

  • Identifying opportunities for new business development through following up on leads and conducting research on target clients

  • Procuring new clients through direct contact, word-of-mouth, and collaboration with the marketing department.

  • Client Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients and address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback. Maintaining meaningful relationships with existing clients to ensure that they are retained.

  • New business generation by meeting potential clients to understand needs and providing relevant solutions

  • Understanding client needs and offering solutions and support.

  • Negotiation and Closure- Negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with clients.

  • Creating and maintaining a list/database of prospect clients, maintaining a database (Salesforce, CRM, Excel, etc.) of prospective client information

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, logistics, and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery. Coordinate with relevant departments for project implementation.

  • Responsible for market studies for sourcing of raw materials (Plastics like  HDPE, LDPE, PP etc)

  • Compliance and Regulations - Stay informed about waste management regulations and compliance requirements and ensure that the company’s services adhere to environmental standards.

  • Should meet the expectation in terms of individual target and company’s goal. 

  • Team Leadership and Training - Provide guidance and leadership to junior team members, if applicable. Conduct training sessions on product knowledge and sales techniques.

  • Attending networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.


SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Qualification – Graduate/Post Graduate

    Experience – 5+ years of experience in the related field.

General responsibilities

  • Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritisation of workload skills.

  • Ensure that the PFC policies, SOPs, and protocols are being adhered to at all levels of the company.

  • Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.

  • Willingness to travel across Bengaluru city, including other places as per need of project or company.

  • Work closely with the PFC team and Partners.
