Job Description

We are looking for a highly committed and passionate individual who manages, provides advice and guidance to the business and key stakeholders with regards to ESG compliance, Legal compliance and different recycling certification standards. We are looking for people who share our values and are driven to create social and economic inclusion. 

Duties and Key Responsibilities

ESG Compliance:

  1. Monitor the effectiveness of implementation of the appropriate ESG management system (Policies, Process, Procedures and Guides) and provide for their updating in line with changes in laws, regulations and specific client or certification requirements.

  2. Provide guidance to the teams on the requirements of identifying and implementing ESG related laws and regulations and monitor the compliance.

  3. Supports the Management in driving the awareness, communication and implementation of the ESG management system across the organization.

  4. Support the leadership in developing and implementing proper management system for improving the overall EHS performance of the company.

  5. Develop and steward a robust suite of EHS related management system in line with international standards and guidelines.

  6. Implement and monitor the EHS management system, plans and safe work Procedures

  7. Coordinate implementation of the ESG & EHS plan in own site, subcontractor unit, stakeholder level ( Scrapshops and Baling Units ) and Franchise partners in accordance with company policies and procedures working closely with concerned cross functional teams 

  8. Conducts Internal audits which covers EHS Operational activities, ESG, Worker compliance, certification requirements to own site, subcontractor unit, stakeholder level ( Scrapshops and Baling Units ) and Franchise partners. Analyze the audit report and records from all the locations to ensure the quality of implementation of the systems and processes across the organization.

  9. May act as an EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) SME (Subject Matter Expert) for external stakeholders, and liaise with concerned government authorities for meeting compliance obligations 

  10. Prepare, organize and maintain inspection records. Monitors follow-up actions in cases where violations were found and reviews until CAPA is deployed.

  11. Coordinate with certification bodies for contracting and auditing.

  12. Conduct monthly compliance review meetings and submit the MIS to management.

  13. Publishing the compliance score cards of own site, subcontractor unit, stakeholder level ( Scrapshops and Baling Units ) and Franchise partners.

  14. Implement the IMS ( Integrated Management System ) across the organization.

  15. Organizing the training related to ESG, certifications ( WFTO , OBP,  GRS , etc), EHS to workers and employees of the organization as per training plan.

 Reporting and Documentation: 

  1. Maintaining various due-diligence and other required documentation at site level, stakeholder level, managing, monitoring and reviewing it periodically.

  2. Ensuring timely, concise and accurate reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis on prescribed formats.

  3. Ensuring timely, concise and accurate CRM updates.

General responsibilities:

  1. Ensure professionalism at all times and demonstrate exemplary prioritisation of workload skills.

  2. Ensure that the PFC policies, SOPs and protocols are being adhered to at all levels of the company.

  3. Ensure strict adherence to data confidentiality and security.

  4. Willingness to travel frequently, sometimes at short notice as per need of project or company.

  5. Work closely with PFC team and Partners.

  Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree and above, with professional qualifications in ESG/EHS and Safety Management Systems, or related field.

  • Good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods. 

  • Past experience of working in a waste management organization with ESG, EHS and HR compliance. 

  • Fluency in English language and any local languages.

  • Sound understanding of informal sector and vulnerable communities 

Skills 

  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently

  • Good data management, documentation and reporting skills.

  • Good computer skills – MS Office and Working on CRM.

  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks.
